Hot Quinoa Cereal with Blueberries and Maple Syrup

Quinoa makes a healthy, gluten-free breakfast. Perfect to get kids feeling energised for their day ahead.

Cooking time: 10 minutes


220ml skimmed milk
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
35g quinoa flakes
1 tbsp coconut sugar
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
100g blueberries
1 tbsp double cream


Bring the milk to a boil in a large saucepan over a gentle heat. Stir in the quinoa flakes and cook them according to the instructions on the pack. When cooked, remove from the heat and stir in the sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup and double cream. Leave to stand for 3-5 minutes or until slightly thickened.
When ready, stir in the blueberries and serve.
