Orange Squash Baby Puree

Orange-coloured produce such as carrots, sweet potato, oranges and squash are high in beta-carotene, a precursor of vitamin A, or retinol, which can be turned into vitamin A in the body if needed. Vitamin C and beta-carotene strengthen the immune system and have important antioxidant properties.


2 tbsp. coconut oil

200g carrots

200g butternut squash

200g sweet potatoes

6 tbsp orange juice.


  1. 1. Peel and chopped the veg, set aside.
  2. 2. Pre-heat the oven to 180oc, pop the coconut oil on a baking tray, place the tray in the oven and allow the oil to melt.
  3. 3. Next, place the veg on the tray making sure the oil covers all the vegetables.  Cook for 30 – 40 minutes or until the veg is tender.
  4. 4. When the veg is cooked carefully place it in a food processor with the orange juice and pulse until smooth or to your desired consistency.
